Breathing Life into Michigan Small Businesses

Growing a business is no easy business. At the Michigan Certified Development Corporation (MCDC), we know that better than anyone. In our four decades of operation, we’ve seen a lot of stuff and heard a lot of stories. We’ve also learned a number of lessons, namely that a cash infusion can make all the difference in the world for your small business.

Because Your Loan is Your Lifeline

As the leading provider of SBA financing in Michigan, we’ve been helping small businesses survive and thrive since 1982. With six offices across the state, we’re now more equipped than ever to serve our clients. Exactly 100 percent of our business operations and profits remain in Michigan, and that’s the way we like it.

The Premier SBA Lender in Michigan

With projects throughout the entire state, MCDC is the only CDC in Michigan that has achieved “Premier” status with the SBA. The elite designation is held by only 10% of all CDCs nationally. There is not another company in Michigan that is better suited to support your needs than MCDC.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Statement

At MCDC, we believe that people are our most valuable resource. We are committed to creating and maintaining an organizational culture that promotes diversity, equity and inclusion at every level of our organization and in the communities we serve. We believe that building an inclusive culture with diversity of thought is essential for all our team members to bring their authentic, whole selves to work and experience a sense of belonging and support. In today's evolving awareness of the social injustices which have plagued our country for generations, we believe that intentional actions are necessary to invoke change and support initiatives across a broad spectrum of backgrounds including socio-economic; age or generation; ability; race, ethnicity or nationality; gender, gender identity and expression; sexual orientation; religion and worship practices; veteran or military status; political affiliation; work thought and leadership style; and technical skills.

We encourage an open dialogue from our employees, customers, referral sources and our communities as we continue to seek ways to be the best at living our core values every day.
