Employee Spotlight Ana “Zoe” Luther

So that you can get to know us, today we’re kicking off a Spotlight Interview Series where we ask our employees about their role at MCDC, what makes them want to come to work each day, and how they spend their free time.
First up we are introducing, Ana “Zoe” Luther who is one of the SBA 7(a) Associates for the Lender Service Provider Department. Zoe assists Lenders with the preparation, packaging and servicing of SBA 7(a) loans. To make sure everything is in accordance with SBA requirements, she reviews and analyzes all the packages for the department before sending to the lenders so they can correspond with the customers. With Zoe’s perfectionist personality, not a package goes out without her personal-inspection stamp on it.
What’s the most rewarding part about your job & what makes it all worthwhile?
First, I want to say that I’ve learned so much since I started at MCDC in February of 2018. SBA Lending is extremely rewarding because we are able to make our client’s dreams come true while adding jobs to the markets we serve. As one of four 7(a) team members, I consider myself very lucky because we have an enjoyable, well versed team to assist our clients in navigating through the 7(a) Lending Process.
I would say one of the favorite parts of my job is getting to work with many 7(a) lenders throughout the United States. It’s interesting to learn about the different state requirements and terminology used. For example, what we call a “mortgage” in Michigan, is referred to as a “Deed of Trust” in California.
What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of my three wonderful children, Jayden (12), Mia (9) and Donovan (3) who are growing up too fast. Jayden and Mia are basketball fanatics so we spend a lot of time in the bleachers, cheering on the Holt Jr Rams Basketball teams!
What do you do in your spare time?
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling to warm destinations and shopping.
