MCDC CARES QUARTERLY DRAWING

Post Updated:

With the busy summer ahead of us here at MCDC, the employees are continuing on with the ultimate goal to raise money for charities in need.

Established in June 2018, the “MCDC Cares Program” was created to provide a means by which the employees can make a meaningful difference in the communities where we live and work. This past quarter we engaged in several fund-raising activities such as jeans Monday and a Master’s Golf Tournament pool. With the company match, the total contribution was $600 bringing the total contribution to over $4,000 since inception. President Mark Williams showed his appreciation of the staff by saying, “It’s nice to have colleagues who feel good about giving of their time and money in addition to the good work we do to improve communities creating and promoting economic development”.

Eric Kehler whose charity was the City Rescue Mission of Lansing was the lucky winner of the quarter.

Founded in 1911, The City Rescue Mission of Lansing which also meets spiritual needs, is a major provider for food, shelter, counseling and other resources for men, women and children. It is also the largest shelter in the Mid-Michigan area providing a safe haven for over 140 people and serving over 100,000 meals every year.
